I have had this dream for 11 years now, to help inspire a shift in thinking and doing, to Overhaul This Life of ours. I’ve been seeking out knowledge during these years, writing “blog posts,” creating printables, finding out life hacks and wisdom from others, but never actually sharing any of it because I felt imposter syndrome. I truly want to help you either pull yourself from the depths of despair or just inspire you to be the best you that you can be living a happy and joyful life.

I had a friend of mine recently tell me while we were loading a sofa into the back of her truck, only to figure out we did not have a long enough tie down strap. She said, “There’s always a way!” She looked elsewhere in her truck and found a purse with a long strap and rigged it so the purse and tie strap were making sure the couch stayed in the truck bed. She explained her mother had always told her this. This was like an epiphany to me. With adopting this mantra, it has opened my eyes to so many possibilities.

I went from gorwing up in an intact nuclear family, to graduating highschool, becoming an Army wife the next weekend, to single meth addict, to alcoholic, to getting clean, graduating college, to becoming a mother,  now-former Deputy Coroner, wife, gave birth to our second child at thirty-nine and now I am a homemaker. I have been with my [second] husband for twenty years and we have two children together, Elise (16) and Abel (4), and Josh (22), who is my husband’s eldest child that has ventured out on his own and is thriving. The rest of us live together in a small town in Indiana and my mother lives with us.
